OIG (Office of Inspector General) audit released 8/14/2014: University of California Los Angeles – Found unreasonable salary expenses charged to an award based on a retroactive payment.
Takeaways
– Retroactive payments are scrutinized.

• Effective 12/26/14 – NIH is applying the UG to incremental funding.
• 26 federal agencies implemented the UG. – DHHS implementation available at 45 CFR 75 . • Minor deviations from original UG.
