TODOR KABLESHKOV UNIVERSITY OF TRANSPORT SOFIA, BULGARIA 18th AMO Meeting Sozopol, Bulgaria June 17 - 23, 2013 The Todor Kableshkov University of Transport in Sofia, Bulgaria trains students and postgraduate students for acquiring engineering and special qualification for the needs of transport and transport infrastructure who can find jobs in all fields of: land transportation; transport manufacturing; telecommunications; signalling; logistics; building industry; power engineering; management of transport. UNIVERSITY HISTORY Founded as State Railway School in 1922, reorganized as Railway College in 1958 and Higher Military School of Transport in 1984, the Todor Kableshkov Higher School was demilitarized in 2000. At present, for more than 90 years, it has been a unique prominent centre of training specialists for the transport sector. UNIVERSITY ACCREDITATION The Todor Kableshkov University of Transport has a five-year institutional accreditation and has been implementing the System of Quality Management according to EN ISO 9001:2008 standard since 2003. The Todor Kableshkov University of Transport has been applying the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) and issues diplomas with the European diploma application.
