Objectives
 The objectives of the project are
1. to provide a European-based focus for
dissemination of information about European
open archive activity
2. to stimulate building of an open archive
infrastructure in Europe
3. to encourage new service provision
4. to exploit synergies between projects and
reinforce the combined efforts of projects

Activities
Activities in support of objectives are
• a series of workshops
• an interactive web site with information on
 OAI implementations
 related projects
 the open archive approach
• publications and presentations
• liaison with OAI in USA and beyond
• commissioned expert reviews
